Abstract

College English translation teaching in China is at a critical juncture of transformation, facing challenges such as disconnection between theory and practice, the traditional “teacher-centered” instruction model, and outdated curricular structures. This study explores innovative pathways for reforming college English translation teaching, with a focus on transitioning from a passive knowledge dissemination model to an interactive, student-centered pedagogical paradigm. Key ffndings indicate that the pedagogical paradigm shift towards capability cultivation fundamentally enhances teaching effectiveness. The integration of ideological elements into translation curricula enriches the educational dimension while aligning with moral education objectives. Additionally, the adoption of digital tools and authentic teaching materials addresses the gap between classroom learning and real-world translation practice.
